In January 2020, we all read on the news about a virus discovered in China. At that time, this situation, which seemed like a movie scene to us, later increased its effect and started to spread to the world, and the sense of curiosity in all of us took on a fear. On March 11, 2020, with the statement of Health Minister Fahrettin Koca, we learned that the first Covid-19 case was seen in our country, at the beginning of our televisions. At that time, a period of closure began in our country in general, and our lives changed in such a way that perhaps it would never be the same before the pandemic. The fear of the people was replaced by a panic. As time passed, the process got longer and although everyone thought that a solution would be found, there was no development. Because, no matter how much technology and medicine had developed, humanity was faced with an incurable disease that it did not know, as in science fiction movies. We didn't have any precautionary measures except not to catch the virus. Unfortunately, our world was not prepared for this at all.
During this period, people self-isolated in their homes. He started working from home, not leaving the house unless necessary, staying away from crowded areas, and resetting his social life. There was no activity other than spending time at home all day and following the corona virus picture around the world and in our country in the evening. As time passed, people had to leave their homes and this played a big role in the spread of the virus. It was not possible to stop life, everyone had to work. Later, the virus spread rapidly, infecting many people, and this caused an even more terrible situation. The health system in our country was not ready for this situation. Intensive care units began to fill up, people were catching an incurable disease and losing their lives. My career, which I started in the health sector as a medical promotion representative during this period, gave me the opportunity to observe with my work in the infectious diseases department. During the visits we took to our physicians, I had the chance to see intensive care units and hospitals. There were beds in the corridors, there were no beds for patients to be treated. A patient had to recover or die before a person could receive intensive care. During this period, active substances that various health institutions suggested and predicted could be used in the treatment of the virus emerged. However, the side-effect profile of these active ingredients was very high, and for people who already had the disease, these heavy drugs posed a serious risk. Afterwards, these drugs were discussed for a long time, some people who got sick used these drugs, some preferred not to use these drugs. But in general, we can say that; These drugs, which were recommended for treatment in this period, increased the health awareness and use of smart drugs in the society. Because, in the processes that started with these drugs, everyone started to research the content, side effects, benefits and harms of all the drugs they used. Later, with the discovery of the vaccine, the pandemic eased a bit and ended the lockdown in the health system around the world. One of the situations I observed again during this process was that patients with chronic diseases stayed away from hospitals as much as possible and could only take the drugs they used from the pharmacy, with the automatic extension of their reports. However, this meant that although patients were given medication, there was not enough medical supervision. A professional could not follow up whether the drugs used by the people really worked, whether they were beneficial to the person or not, whether they helped the person to prevent their current ailment or not.
Afterwards, I decided to continue my career by joining the "Force&Brothers" team, because in this process, thanks to our understanding of trying to meet the needs of the health sector by identifying the needs of the health sector and combining them with technology, in a project that is open to development and has the vision of encouraging people to Rational Use of Medicines. We would be able to have a say in the sector and have an innovative perspective. I am also very happy to be a member of the BAU Gen to Future family, where Personalized Treatment is aimed by producing new ideas in the most efficient way and where I can share my current experiences. In this process, with the genetic tests presented to the people, it is aimed to increase the health awareness of the people and to provide the patient with the most accurate treatment in a possible treatment process, by directing the physician correctly by looking at the polymorphisms in the genetics of the person, and by creating a physical Genetic Identity Card with the NFC technology, which is the latest product of technology. We present scientific data on the patient's vision and the physician's application of the right treatment to the patient in this process. We observe how valuable it is to be able to provide physicians with scientific data for the use of the right drug at the right dose by performing genetic analyzes of individuals, especially at a time when the healthcare industry is having such a hard time and the trust in drugs is questioned so much. We aim to be a pioneer by always guiding the health sector by always producing new projects in the coming times. By adding a new perspective to the health sector with our dynamism and unending energy, we will always work harder to protect the most important thing in a person's life, namely his health. I am proud and excited about the work I do as a new part of this family.
